Manufacturing KPI = Availability × Performance × Quality, measuring how well equipment runs vs its full potential.
What it means
World-class OEE is around 85%. Most discrete manufacturers run at 40-60%. The three components: Availability (uptime / scheduled time), Performance (actual output / theoretical max), Quality (good units / total units). OEE-driven improvement projects typically focus on the lowest of the three.
