Navigating the Easedesk dashboard

Quick answer

The left sidebar groups modules into People, Sales, Finance, Operations, Tax and Settings. The top bar has breadcrumb + department switcher + global search + AI Assistant + notifications + your profile menu. Most lists open in-place; create pages are dedicated routes.

Left sidebar

Module categories are collapsible. Use Settings → Sidebar to reorder or hide modules from your view.

Department switcher

At the top, next to the breadcrumb. If you have access to multiple departments, you can switch between them or 'All departments'. Lists across modules respect this filter.

Global search

Click the search box (or Cmd/Ctrl + K). Searches across customers, invoices, products, employees and more.

AI Assistant

The violet brain icon. Ask questions in plain English — it has context about your tenant data and can pull reports, explain errors, or walk you through workflows.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rearrange the sidebar?
Yes. Settings → Sidebar lets you reorder modules and hide ones you don't use.
What does the department switcher do?
It scopes all list views (HR, Sales, Payroll, etc.) to a single department, or shows 'All departments' for users entitled to it.
How do I open the AI Assistant?
Click the violet icon in the navbar, or press Ctrl + Shift + A.
