# What is EaseDesk

> EaseDesk is online GST billing, collections and accounting software for Indian small and medium businesses. You issue invoices, collect payments, prepare GST returns and keep your books and stock in one place, in the browser on your computer or phone.

## What you can do with it

EaseDesk keeps the daily work of an Indian business in one system, so the figures in your invoices,
your books and your GST returns always agree.

- **Sales and collections:** quotations, orders, delivery challans, GST invoices, receipts, payment
  reminders, recurring invoices and counter (POS) billing. See

- **GST:** CGST, SGST or IGST worked out from the place of supply, e-Invoice and e-Way Bill files for the
  government portals, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B data, and GSTR-2B matching. See [GST compliance](/solutions/gst).
- **Purchases and stock:** purchase orders, vendor bills and payments, every expense by category and
  month, warehouses, batches and stock counts, and production from a bill of materials.
- **Accounts:** every invoice and receipt posted to your books, vouchers, bank reconciliation, TDS and
  TCS, fixed assets, and the trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet.
- **Control:** roles for each person, an audit log of every change, and two-step sign-in.

## What is not there yet

A few things on the roadmap are marked coming soon: [HR and payroll](/solutions/payroll), the
Android app, import from Tally, invoices and reminders on WhatsApp, a customer and vendor portal, and
an AI assistant for questions about your own data. The [features page](/features) always shows what
is available today.

You create an account in a few minutes, and your organisation starts a 14-day free trial for up to 5
users with no card needed. After that you pay yearly for the users you need: see

## Questions

### Do I need to install anything?

No. EaseDesk works in the browser on your computer and your mobile phone. An Android app is coming soon.

### Can my CA work in the same books?

Yes. Invite your CA with the built-in Chartered Accountant role. It can read your books and GST returns and mark entries as reviewed, but cannot change anything, and it does not count as a paid user.

### Can I bring my data from Excel or Tally?

You can import customers, vendors, contacts, items and opening balances from Excel today. Import from Tally is coming soon.
